Back to where it all began…

Douglasville School of Dance was founded in 1975 by Libba Tishaw. It was the first dance school in Douglas County and was located in Market Square Shopping Center on Highway 5.

When Ms. Sheryl was 5 years old, she began dancing at the J. Frank Leitzsey studio in Atlanta. Years later she became a student at Douglasville School of Dance. She began assisting and teaching at DSD in the early 1980’s. When Ms. Libba approached her about buying the studio in 1983, she felt like her childhood dream of owning her own dance school was coming true!

Ms. Hilary is a DSD Alumni and graduated from The American Musical and Dramatic Academy in NYC where she studied dance and musical theatre. She is vocalist, dancer, actor, and choreographer based out of Atlanta.
